General Services

  • Annual Wellness Exam

No matter how young or old your pet may be, it is important for them to be examined by a veterinarian once a year.  During their annual wellness exam our veterinarians can evaluate your pet's health and in some cases pick up on subtle changes which may indicate an underlying health problem.  Other routine diagnostics including comprehensive bloodwork and radiographs may be performed in order to detect any changes which may be occurring in your pet particularly as they begin to mature.

  • Boarding

We offer boarding services to our clients.  No worries if your pet is on medications or has special needs, while he or she is staying with us we will make sure their medications are given appropriately.  We encourage owners to bring their pets' current diet for us to feed while they are boarding.  Our boarding space is limited so be sure to make your reservation in advance, particularly during peak boarding times.  Please feel free to download our boarding form in advance and fill it out prior to your pets scheduled stay.

  • Bathing

Don't have time to bathe your pet?  We offer bathing services 7 days a week.  We also will preform lion cuts on your cat while under sedation. Keep in mind we are not professional groomers.  Please call our office to schedule and check availability.

  • Dental Care

Regular brushing of your pet's teeth is important, as is routine professional cleaning.  Just as you get your teeth cleaned professionally twice a year, your pet may need to have his/her teeth cleaned to maintain their oral health.  We use an ultrasonic scaler to clean each tooth thoroughly above and below the gum line, and then polish the teeth to create a smooth tooth surface that is more resistant to plaque build-up.

  • Microchipping

Did you know that more than 10 million pets are lost each year?  A microchip can help to ensure your pet's safe return if they are ever lost.  We use the HomeAgain microchip system.  We strongly believe in microchiping as a standard of care for all of our feline and canine patients.

  • Nutritional Counseling

Many pets have special nutritional needs to help treat chronic diseases or to help them maintain or lose weight.  Our veterinarians and staff are available to help you choose the right diet to keep your pet happy, healthy and active.

  • Behavioral Medicine

Often our pets demonstrate abnormal behavior.  Our veterinarians can help rule out medical causes and work with you to develop a treatment regime to address such behaviors as separation anxiety, inappropriate urination and obsessive behaviors.

  • Fully Stocked Pharmacy

We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field.

  • Pain Management

Our pets don't always display pain as we would expect.  Pet's feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care.

  • Radiology

Radiology, or X-rays, help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.  We have our films evaluated by a board certified veterinary radiologist.  We are also able to schedule ultrasounds with a board certified radiologist, at our hospital.

  • Surgery

All patients are screened via pre-anesthetic bloodwork prior to any surgical procedure.  Anesthetic protocols are specifically tailored to your pet. If your pet is seven years or older or we are performing a complex surgery, we will place an intravenous catheter and keep them on fluids during the procedure.  We are able to perform routine procedures such as a spay/neuter as well as more complex surgeries.  We also work closely with a board certified surgeon who will come to our practice when the procedure requires a specialist, or we can refer you to some of the other local board certified surgeons.

  • Small Mammals

We will see small mammals or "pocket pets" for routine veterinary care. Our staff can advise you as to the dietary, maintenance, and hygiene needs of your furry friend.

  • Internal Medicine

We are able to consult with internal medicine specialist about your pet if necessary. We can also have an internist come to our hospital to perform procedures such as endoscopy. In addition we will also refer to other board certified internists at local specialty facilities for some procedures and for cases requiring intensive care.
